WEB SCRIPTURE PRODUCTION

Modern technology can be very helpful in getting the translated Scriptures into the hands and hearts of people groups in various ways. The idea of this project is to have the Scriptures available on the web in Australian Aboriginal languages and some from Timor – up to nine New Testaments and one complete Bible within the next 12 months.

PROJECT NO. 22002
VISION and PRAYER MOBILISATION

Indonesia has the largest number of remaining translation needs and Kartidaya’s* desire is to have more people praying with greater understanding to bring this in line with Vision 2025 to see a project started in any language that needs it by 2025. By conducting a Reflection and Prayer retreat, together with a missions awareness seminar, the aim of this project is to help equip Kartidaya members and people from partner organsations to pray and serve God with stronger vision and motivation and to equip them to train others to do the same.

VERNACULAR MEDIA PRODUCTIONS
Papua New Guinea

PNG is basically an oral culture and this makes the use of audio and video materials essential to the spreading of God’s Word. Wycliffe Australia is helping with the cost of producing and distributing vernacular oral and visual media enabling the various people groups of PNG to use and embrace the Scriptures in their mother tongues.

West Timor

This project is made up of three smaller projects all related to encouraging literacy and Scripture use in West Timor. The desired outcome is to facilitate the production of various types of Scripture use materials by training local people in specific skills.

PROSHIKKHON
Bangladesh, South Asia

Proshikkhon is a Wycliffe Australia sponsored ministry in Bangladesh that empowers pastors, evangelists and ethnic minority Christians to apply the vernacular Scriptures to their culture in their own language. Scholarship funds are needed to enable the local citizens to access the training offered through Proshikkhon seminars.

SCRIPTURE USE
Togo & Benin, West Africa

To create interest and instil knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures among the people in Togo & Benin are the goals of this project. By offering a series of Scripture use workshops it is hoped that to see greater motivation and an increase the involvement of church leaders both at national and local community levels.

TRANSLATION RESOURCES CENTRE

The reason for this project is the vision of a Translation Resources Centre to support the programs of Kartidaya and other like-minded local partners participating in the Bible translation movement in Indonesia. Initial funds are needed to cover expenses for planning and help with local fund raising. Funds are also needed to provide classroom and library facilities for training personnel who can facilitate partnerships and translations across the country.
